The Moon Tarot Card
The basic card symbols are a full moon (with a crescent within), twin pillars, a dog and a wolf howling, a stream that runs to the ocean, a crayfish emerging out of the water. The card is about hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. This card symbolizes deception, trickery, disillusionment, error, danger, and double-dealing; and in reverse stands for discovering deception before damage can be done, trifling mistakes, and taking advantage of someone.

The Fool travels through the night, following the star. The full moon illuminates the watery path. He passes between two pillars and into another land entirely. The land of dark mysteries, of most primal and ancient powers - a terrifying, and an alluring place, with wolves running around, a land with very different rules. The path is now a river, and he is hip deep in it. He sees a boat nearby, but no oars. He has two choices. To remain on this desolate place or get into the boat and trust the river. He chooses the boat, and shoves off, and senses the eyes from the darkness looking with approval.

For the Querent, the card means that he may be going through a time of emotional and mental trials.
